Non Attachment

Through desire we give rise to attachments.
We attach not only to physical things,
but also to ideas and opinions about ourselves and others.

These attachments we are so anxious not to loose give rise to suffering for nothing is permanent,
everything changes and disappears eventually,
our physical body for instance.

The attachments are based on the egocentric views,
the “me” and the “mine”.
Recognizing this,
changes our perception oft the world and the priorities we find in being here.

As a consequence it release our fears of death,
and frees us from our enslaving desires and addictions to sensual and emotional pleasures, Non Attachments akin to freedom, equanimity and serenity.
